San Timorasso (English Version)

It’s 1986 when Walter Massa, a young, ambitious winemaker from the Colli Tortonesi, vinifies 1000kg of a grape that had almost been forgotten: the Timorasso. What seemed to start out as a mere enological experiment ends up becoming a movement that captivates tens of winemakers and brings the Colli Tortonesi to the attention of wine lovers all over the world. How was this possible? How do you create a terroir?
San Timorasso retraces the story of this adventure, starting with the depopulation of the 1970’s, taking us through a series of events of an unusual group of winemakers who come together despite their differences and finishing up at the present day, when the Timorasso turns out to be a symbol of the era of climate change. As well as one of the most significant white wines in all of Italy.
